Operation Childlife volunteers spent a week in the Red Crescent Hospital in Amman as part of an on-going collaboration between the Jordan National Red Crescent Society (JNRCS), Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), Operation Childlife (OCL), and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain).

The mission’s primary objective is to provide specialized ophthalmology surgeries and consultations to children, significantly enhancing their quality of life and vision.

Building upon the success of previous phases, including the ENT surgeries in May 2023 and ophthalmology surgeries in September 2023, this third phase was conducted in the last week of October 2024. In this phase, A total of 34 pediatric patients from different nationalities—Syrian, Palestinian, and less fortunate Jordanians—were assessed, 19 surgeries were successfully performed, and an additional 104 medical ophthalmology consultations were provided.
