A team of our wonderful Operation Childlife volunteers spent a week in City Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital No. 2. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in late November. This trip is an annual visit in partnership with the Christina Noble Charitable Foundation.
Pictured (left) This young girl had an aggressive muscle cancer involving the nerves which control her arm and hand. A team of OCL Volunteers and local medics, led by Prof. Martin Corbally, OCL Programme Director and Consultant Paediatric Surgeon, completed a complex surgery to remove her tumor residue. This image captures Prof. Corbally as he is checking her range of movement following the successful surgery, we are delighted to report that she has no loss of arm function.
