Operation Childlife volunteers attended a Paediatric Acute Surgical Support (PASS) training course in Vietnam in August, to gain accreditation as course facilitators. This will allow Operation Childlife to deliver the course which teaches the recognition and initial management of a variety of acute surgical scenarios in children, including trauma and some surgical emergencies, to local medical and healthcare staff in our partner hospitals. We hope to run our first session of this course in Tanzania in the near future.
- “The art and science of plastic and reconstructive surgery: A manual of surgery” by Dr Abdulla Fakhro, available to medical professionals with limited resources.
